Abandoned House Tryon NC

 

Here is a photo of an abandoned house taken on Hwy 19 in Tryon NC. I remember this place vaguely. It wasn't hard to get off the road. I think if I remember correctly I just passed it and pulled to the side of the road and parked(there wasn't any traffic to speak of) and took the photo. I remember I'd been out scouting for some old abandoned houses and wasn't finding anything and just happened on to this one. As I said before I don't find that many in NC.

Update: I'm not usre if this was the original picture because the one I had up was gone when I went to update this post but this is one that is on Turkomen Trail in Landrum SC.

This is a picture of a post in Landrum SC I took on Turkomen Trail and Racetrack Rd. Nothing spectacular I just thought I'd post the photo since I took it.
I actually had alot of pictures I took here. It was one of my first ventures into taking nature pictures but I didn't like them so much with my old camera. I posted all of pictures I took on my facebook page.

Abandoned House New Prospect SC

This house is located on E. Frontage Road and Hwy 11. It is right across the street from what used to be a car dealer. It has changed hands a few times over the past few years and I believe it is now abandoned again. It goes through stages where someone(a business) will be in it then they will be out of it.

This is an abandoned business that used to be a car lot. T & A auto sales it was. It has been turned into something else now and I think that is now out of business.

Abandoned House Black Mountain NC

The odd thing about this house is it's actually located in Bat Cave in Henderson County rather than Buncombe County which Black Mtn is technically in.

I've explored this house, it appears to have belonged to either a nun or a very religious woman. There were many notes and writings pertaining to religion. There was also an oxygen tank. The house is in relatively good condition but definitely needs work. I drive by at that night and the lights had been left on so apparently someone tends to the place but on the day I visited the back door was standing wide open so we went in and explored. It's a two story house. Fixed up it would be quite nice.
There's an old shed I included a picture of too.
It's right on Hwy 9.
